AMION advised a consortia of partners on the potential development of a multi-purpose venue for the City with a potential capacity in the region of 2,000 – 2,500. This included an assessment of the UK market for conferences, exhibitions and events including comedy and music with a specific focus on the North West. It also considered the wider economic impact of the new venue.
We led the soft market testing with promoters and operators, undertook a review of appropriate operator models, developed a financial model and associated funding strategy, undertook preliminary economic impact assessment, review of subvention options, and led a series of consultations with the preferred design team and QS cost advisors to ensure that the concept was business plan-led.
