In 2020 AMION completed a midterm evaluation of the £78 million Cornwall and Isles of Scilly (CIOS) Local Growth Fund (LGF) programme. We will be carrying out a final evaluation of the programme in 2021.
The Growth Deal for the CIOS LEP aims to create a thriving and vibrant local economy by supporting projects within the area to overcome barriers to growth. In line with the government’s LGF programme targets, the LGF investments in CIOS have focused on employment in the local economy, improving infrastructure, improving high-value growth sectors and raising productivity.
The midterm evaluation assessed the governance, management and delivery of the programme and also assessed the cost effectiveness and the value for money of the programme to date. A key part of the midterm evaluation was to identify lessons and recommendations for future delivery.
