Peter heads AMION’s Land and Property Economics service and has a primary focus upon land, property development and planning related issues. Peter has more than 15 years of consultancy experience in economic analysis, policy and strategy development and business planning exercises. He has managed projects for a range of public and private sector organisations including government departments, local authorities, combined authorities, property developers and house builders.
Peter’s recent work has included project based appraisal, feasibility and economic impact assessment, with a focus on business case development to support investment proposals in support of strategic and local policy objectives. He has supported the development of successful funding applications under the Future High Street Fund, Towns Fund and Levelling Up Fund programmes, alongside a range of other funding sources in discussion with central government, combined authorities and local government amongst others. Having supported cases for the creation of Enterprise Zones, Freeports and other special designations, Peter has also supported the creation of bespoke and locally administered funding arrangements, particularly through the retention of business rates and other forms of value capture.
Peter has postgraduate Masters degrees (with distinction) in Civic Design from the University of Liverpool and in Commercial Property Development from Liverpool John Moores University.
